The main focus of this ministry is to cultivate an environment where Igbo Catholic youths can develop into responsible adults. This ministry is led by a Youth and Young adult coordinator assisted by the Young adult and Youth representatives. Jointly they plan and coordinate activities such as, youth traditional dance group, talent shows, and the Youth Weekend. Activities are usually casual, fun-loving, spiritual, educational, adventurous and very popular. Often times, prizes are won, and fellowship is encouraged.
Our youth activities provide avenues for our children and young adults to grow and learn through positive interaction with their peers and under the guidance of parents, dedicated laity, and our Igbo clergy; they experience and develop Christian attitudes and behaviors of self-discipline, respect, and responsibilities to the community. They become responsible adults by being around responsible adults and by gradually assuming adult responsibilities.
The Youth ministry serves the interests of kids of all ages, as well as young unmarried adults under 30 years.
