Welcome to the Nigerian Igbo Catholic Community of San Jose. We are excited you chose to visit and consider partnering with us to transform lives in our community. The Nigerian Igbo Catholic Community of San Jose has taught us about our proud Igbo Nigerian heritage rooted in very deep Catholic values and we are proud to call this community home.
Nigerian Igbo Catholic Community San Jose has several ways in which we support each other in special personal prayer. The ways that are most familiar to many occur during Mass, during which Mass Intentions are announces. Mass Intentions are dedicated to the intentions of the petitioner and are said aloud at the end of the Prayers of the Faithful. These can be for the support of the sick, for repose of the soul of a loved one, for thanksgiving, or for other special intentions. They are mentioned during the Mass and in the Monthly Igbo Mass bulletin. Each Mass at St. Francis of Assisi is said in honor of a loved one of a member of the community.
Please submit all prayer requests through our community website using the βΒΒΒΒMass RequestsβΒΒΒΒ link.
All requests will be honored on a first come, first serve basis and each order form will be numbered as it is received.
Harvest is a time for all Christians to be able to share in responsible ministry through their financial giving, and therefore share in the fruit of the ministry. Giving is a ChristianβΒΒΒΒs responsibility to his or her local Church
When you contribute to a successful harvest, you further the work of sharing the Gospel with the lost and equipping the Church to better grow in her relationship with Christ and His Holy body.

As we celebrate mass, many have great intentions to commit to a stronger effort of giving to the community / parish. However, kind of like New Year's resolutions, life catches us by surprise. Families find themselves leaving for Mass without an envelope, or quickly writing a check as offering time approaches. Even the surprise of a second collection causes some to turn to their spouse asking for cash.
We are banking and paying our bills online, and using credit cards or automatic account withdrawal. So why not allow our offering to fit into our current methods of managing the gifts of treasure we have been blessed with? Now you can.
Nigerian Igbo Catholic Community San Jose is excited to offer online Mass Offering directly from our website. Easily make a secure mass offering via electronic check or debit/credit card by clicking on the Mass offering link below:
